SI CHRISTINA GATEAU SANS RIVAL | AN UNTOLD BARCELONA IN THE CITY OF SEVEN LAKES
You guysssss! It's finally the holidays! And here in the Philippines, we celebrate Christmas quite festive. From simbang gabi to parties, and friends to family, a get together had always been part of the Filipino Christmas tradtion. And of course! A get together would never be complete without food right? It is done every year where family and friends gather together, party, eat and simply thank God for everything. Some families (like ours) celebrate it during midnight and have the traditional "Noche Buena" but some families celebrate a bit early and dine lunch or dinner. If you are like the other families that celebrate the traditional Christmas lunch/dinner, I recommend you to try this restaurant here in San Pablo City. This had been one of my favorite restaurants in a while plus I guarantee you this is one of the best! You might had already seen this in blogs such as wheninmanila.com and shows like Myx "Wer U At". And did I mention that this restaurant was also seen in Kathniel's latest movie Barcelona: A Love Untold? Yeah! It is that restaurant where Ely (Daniel Padilla) was dining in and where Celine (Kathryn Bernardo) was shot. But don't worry guys! It was just in the movie!XD Anyways, you want to know what restaurant it is? Here goes!
Found at the heart of San Pablo City is the Si Christina Gateau Sans Rival restaurant. Si Christina Gateau Sans Rival is a cozy restaurant found by Proprietress Maria Christina Capino De Roma last October 16, 2010. She decided to share her talent to the public and to give San Pableños a different twist on new breeds of mouth watering Pastries and Cakes.
Si Christina is a two-storey building with architecture and design that will take you to Europe. With knick knacks in every corner, this restaurant would definitely give you that homey feel! The place is also picture worthy so better charge your phones and cameras guys. If you are asking "may wifi ba?" No, wala. These place promote that no internet world, so yeah it's the perfect place! The perfect place to have real conversations and bond with your family and friends.
If you are planning to eat here this holiday, I made a list of my top 7 faves in Si Christina. Hope you will like them as much as I do!
Corn chips topped with taco sauce, chili con carne, veggies and melted cheese.
If you are a foodie, this is the perfect appetizer for you! Its appealing colors makes you want to just photograph it and the cheesiness of it definitely whets your appetite.

Burger patty topped with bacon strips and melted cheese in a wheat bun served with fries.
This burger is mouthwatering because bacon and cheese, duh!XD I would have preferred it if the bacon was crispy-fried, although the bacon drippings make up for it I guess.
3
SHRIMP TOMATO PESTO
Tomato pesto sauce with shrimp topped with parmesan cheese.
Best pasta ever! If you love seafood and tomato (is it weird to love tomato, like I do), I would definitely recommend you to try this! Its special tomato pesto sauce is to die for, and it still has that shrimp head for that additional seafood flavor.
Shrimp Tomato Pesto. 215 pesos

GRILLED CHOP
Chops grilled and drizzled with barbecue sauce.
If you prefer eating rice or other starchy foods rather than pastas, Si Christina also offer main courses with meat and fish. You can also choose whatever starch and side dish you want with your course meal, so you would definitely find something you will want. Here is a list of the options:
Starch: Java rice
Italian rice
Rice pilaf

Side dish:
Buttered vegetables

FROZEN BRAZO DE SANS RIVAL
Pillowy meringue cake with Si Christina's special frozen filling.
Best brazo ever! This is Si Christina's twist to the classic brazo de mercedes. The feeling is just omg! It has that custardy filling but frozen. It also has that nutty stuff that can be found in a sans rival and let me tell you, it is just a perfect combination.
Frozen Brazo de Sans Rival. 59 pesos/slice - 360 pesos/whole
To sum it all up, their restaurant basically serves pasta, drinks, rice meals, salads, pizzas, desserts and so much more! There are so many options to choose from, so you will definitely find that perfect meal.
