My favorite drugstore brand Maybelline New York, recently released a new lipstick collection, the "Maybelline The Powder Mattes by Color Sensational". The Powder Matte collection is currently available in 15 shades, with stunning hues to choose from: nude, pink, red& mauve.
In the past few weeks, I am into the effortless, more natural look. It is perfect for my everyday: just a swipe of a nude lipstick and voila! It just makes my face look fresh and young. And as I came across the Maybelline's new collection, I said to myself that I need to have these, their lipstick in nudes specifically. We did buy these two shades from the collection. Now, I'll be talking about them, the "Barely There" and "Nude Illusion".

The Maybelline Powder Matte Lipstick is Maybelline's most lightweight lipstick. It has 2x saturated powder pigments with honey nectar for an intensely matte and silkier powder finish. The Powder Matte is also perfect for all skin types, catering every Filipina skin tones.
The packaging is similar to the Maybelline Creamy Mattes and most Maybelline lipsticks today. The cap is just this transparent matte with a silver metallic tube, and a sticker at the base with its manufacturing code and name shade. The only difference is that it has a metallic cap tip.

The "Barely There" and "Nude Illusion" shades from the Powder Matte Collection are perfect for the everyday look. It gives your look a more natural glow, having this nudish pink hue that matches the skin tone. The Powder Mattes glide smoothly, have a silky matte texture and easy to apply. There are also fifteen shades available, so there's no doubt you'll find your perfect shade. On the down side, the pigmentation is not that good since it tends to leave little patches. You need to put around 2-3 layers of lipstick just to make sure your lips are fully covered. I'm not sure if it is also the same with the other shades though, since the shades I have are in the nude and lightest hues. It also lasts throughout the day, but reapplying is necessary after eating a greasy meal.
