Way before I had fondness for makeup, I was a girl perplexed by these so called makeup brushes. I always that all you need are your fingertips, who's with me?! But as you start loving the art of makeup, you'll be able to see the beauty of makeup brushes too. Yeah, there are quite a lot of them! But if you think about it, each and everyone of them exist because they are indeed important. With the use of the right brush, you can make a difference between a natural complexion and a flawless face.

From pressing for a flawless coverage to contouring and blushing, these are some of the essential brushes every girl would need in their makeup bag! I've also included the brushes from my brush set as well, together with its uses. Hope this would help you decide on what brushes you need to invest on!:)

Buffing brush, blush brush and contour/highlight brush

BUFFER (BUFFING BRUSH
-used to apply liquid or cream foundation. 
Buff in circular motions to pack in the foundation, then slowly buff with pressed or loose powder for a flawless finish.

LUXE CHEEK FINISH (BLUSH BRUSH
-used for applying blush, as well as bronzer and highlighter.
Apply the blush up along your cheekbones, using the center of your eye as a guide for starting point. The upward sweep gives that natural blush, as well as it slims down your face.

LUXE FACE PAINT (CONTOUR BRUSH
-brush used for doing a sharp, precise contour on your face. This is to add definition to your cheekbones!
Contour underneath your cheekbones using the brush. Blend it well into the hairline to give your skin a more healthy glow. Also, sweep a touch of the contour powder under your jaw line to look younger than you really are. You can contour your nose line as well.

-used for applying and blending eye shadow in the crease for soft transitions
✦Soften the line and edged of your eyeshadow using the large fluffy brush. Blend in the area between the crease and the brow bone.

Wing liner and brow line

WING LINER (ANGLED LINER BRUSH for them liner) 
-used for applying a liquid liner or eye shadow
✦Start lining your top lash line first and then create that flick. Flick to follow the same angles as your lower lash line. Then, connect the tip of your flick back to your lash line and just fill it in.

BROW LINE (ANGLED LINER BRUSH for them brows) 
-used to fill up and shape your brows to create that brows on fleek.
✦Hold the brush perpendicularly at the inside corner, mimicking a brow hair. Draw the outline of your brows, starting with the bottom line and drag with the slanted edge. Do the same with the upper line until your reach the peak. After you outline your brows, fill in the gaps of your hair using the brush. Make it as natural as possible.

  3. This is really so helpful. I have a two brushes only and I'm planning to buy more just for basic make-up touches but i don't know what is the difference or where is it to be applied, now i know. Thanks for sharing ^^
